'COCHE DEL MES' SPONSORED BY AUTO EMPORIUM

VEHICLE OF THE MONTH SPONSORED BY AUTO EMPORIUM MAGAZINE
MARCH 2013
Women and their vehicles are destroying the competition as we are continuously wowed with what the type of vehicles these ladies decide to drive, vehicles that are often full of luxury and character. Sometime we may find it difficult to imagine a young woman handling an enormous vehicle that is full of power and potential and if that were not impressive enough how about a female that is also specializes in the mechanics of the she drives and other machinery that is equally if not more powerful. Sounds incredible! These females are breaking all kinds of stereotypes associated with women, impressing us with the vehicles they drive.

From a humble hardworking family, originally from Jalisco, Mexico, Sandra Serrano and her family established a life in Southern Oregon twenty years ago leaving behind the crime and gang violence that surrounded them in Southern California. As time passed, the Serrano family became accustomed to the new life that Oregon provided and began establishing roots in the Rogue Valley. At the same time, Sandra and her siblings began establishing their own lives in Oregon and in the blink of an eye they found themselves graduating from North Medford High School. Understanding that receiving an education was crucial to a successful future, Sandra's family was nothing but supportive in her journey, helping her utilize her abilities to their fullest potential. Sandra decided to continue with her education receiving her bachelors in Criminal Justice. Currently, Sandra owns her own business, "Serrano Bounce House" established in 2011.

A dream and goal Sandra had all through high school was to be part of the United States' Armed Forces. After many attempts at joining she was finally selected to be a part of the Armed Forces in October 2012. While part of the organization, she will specialize in Mechanics with an emphasis in the Hummer H1 and other vehicles that are often utilized by the Armed Forces.

Sandra's specialization in mechanics while being a part of the Armed Forces greatly influenced her decision to purchase her 2003 Hummer H2. In addition to the powerful 8-cylinder motor, her Hummer has a lifted suspension, and American Racing rims. The Hummer, already an attention-stealing vehicle, stands out in the crowd with the great effort and dedication the owner puts forth. Sandra describes with great enthusiasm that although the vehicle is still like new she would like to make some modifications, "I would like to add a sun roof, lights, television monitors, a better sound system, and lift the suspension a little more."

As we can see, this vehicle of great power and luxury is not just any ordinary vehicle, it has great significance to our friend Sandra. This vehicle embodies every aspect of Sandra's life, her personality, attitude, dedication, effort, and of course Sandra's future with the Armed Forces of the United States. I warned that you all would be blown away by our great friend with a vehicle so powerful and full of potential; two traits that can easily be attributed to the owner of this Hummer H2. Caminos Magazine wishes her the best and brightest future, thank you for sharing your story with us, Sandra!
